Registration and Licensing of Building Trades
The Victorian Government passed legislation to introduce new registration and licensing regulations for trade subcontractors and employees that aims to reduce non compliant building work, enhance accountability and encourage skills formation.
A trade registration will be required for contractors and subcontractors. A licence will be required for building and construction employees to perform certain building and construction work.
